They Are Billions

Campaign is broken.

There is a single tech tree that spans all the missions of the campaign and you slowly unlock research points. The problem is there is no skill tree reset, and by the 5th mission in, if you made bad choices then you are screwed and have to restart the WHOLE CAMPAIGN over again. Not just the mission, the entire campaign. One of the developers has a draconian stance on modding and locks/encrypts files (work arounds available, but its a pain in the arsh). The game could be good, but there appears to be a headstrong developer unwilling to listen to feedback.

Dawn of Man

Unfinished Game

I would have loved to recommend this game but there are simply too many negative issues. Its the game mechanics that need work. AI pathing is horrible. Watching your hunters chase a single deer for an entire season across the entire map ignoring all other wildlife and hazards is frusterating. Because you can't control them directly you don't have a lot much choice but watch. Watching your group starve while the full storage building 1 square beside them is unused. If they fixed some of the major issues and expanded the tech tree / progress concept it could be a good game.

Aven Colony

Best SimCity-like game in years

Didn't expect much when I purchased this, but was incredibly surprised. Best game I've played in years that is anything like a Sim City game. I started with the campaign. Short decent story but allows you to learn everything. I love the campaign mode because it introduces you to just enough concepts to master at once rather than throwing everything at you at once. Moved onto the sandbox mode and still loving the game. Its just complicated enough to make you think, but it doesn't require you to memorize a book of strategy for success. I'm really hoping the developers continue with this idea with either an expansion pack or more updates focused on complexity for those of us that have a good handle on it.

Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan

Classic Hidden Object Game

You get what you pay for. Not a lot of surprises here. Well made, nicely designed, point/click hidden object game with the bones of a story. Pros : Excellent art & decent backgrounds Good music for this type of game. Puzzles can be completed with a hint system Cons: One of the puzzles is a bitch and hints don't help. Voice acting is terrible (but theres not much of it, so take this with grain of salt) If you are a completionist, make sure you get the collectibles on every area when you enter as some of them can't be returned to. Doesn't affect the story at all. Conclusion : Sort and sweet. Satisfying puzzles and art. You get what you pay for. More enjoyable than the same price for a cup of coffee.

ELEX Digital Extras

Thanks

5 star rating. Reasoning - Thanks for not making ELEX microtransaction hell. Thanks for not having 30 versions of deluxe, special, executive, gold/silver/bronze editions, DLC story chunks sold seperately, season passes, console exclusive items etc. If you like the game, buy this. I whole heartedly support developers that don't try and $0.25 me to death. Thanks
